Key Changes and Requirements
1. Revised Formats for Watch Keeping Certificates/Testimonials
The format of watch keeping certificates/testimonials for Deck and Engineering officers has been revised to align with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) 2006 and STCW Convention 1978 (as amended).
- Deck Officers: Use Annex A (Certificate of Watchkeeping for Chief Mate’s or Master’s Certificate) from 01.01.2015 for assessments of sea-going service performed after 01.11.2014.
- Engineering Officers: Use Annex B (Form of Testimonial for Sea-Service) from 01.01.2015 for assessments of sea-going service performed after 01.11.2014.
