Key Changes and Requirements
1. New Certification Requirements
Engineering ratings and officers must now provide proof of certification for their watchkeeping and engine room duties.
- Watchkeeping: STCW '95 Regulation I/4
- Engine Room: STCW '95 Regulation III/4
II/4 and III/4 certificates are valid for 5 years.
2. Application Process
Applicants should submit their application to the nearest Regional Inspectorate of the Directorate General of Shipping.
- Documents: Valid ID, proof of watchkeeping/engine room duties, and fee payment receipt
- Fees: As per DG Shipping's fee schedule
Important Note
Failure to comply may result in suspension or cancellation of certificate.
