Key Changes and Requirements
1. Course Approval and Inspections
The Directorate granted provisional approvals for conducting batches of One year Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc Nautical Science (IGNOU) course on a case-to-case basis.
- Joint inspections: To be completed for remaining institutes before January 2006.
- Final approvals: To be granted by the Directorate for annual capacities of the institutes.
- Strength of students: To be allocated for the batch commencing January 2006.
2. Institute Readiness and Compliance
Institutes are requested to:
- Remediate: Any deficiencies noted during earlier inspections.
- Confirm readiness: For conducting the course.
- Prepare for inspection: At short notice, if not inspected yet.
- Comply with benchmarking: Promulgated in Training Circular No. 21 of 2005.
Important Note
No proposal for increase in capacity will be entertained from the institute during the interim period.
