Key Changes and Requirements
1. Course Status Change
The status of the Pre-sea Training for personnel to man Dredger Vessels, Offshore Support Vessels, etc. on Near Coastal Voyages (NCV) has been changed.
- New Status: Suspended and withdrawn for new batches, but existing approved institutes can continue with the course for the time being and till further orders.
II/4 Maritime Training Institutes approved for conduct of these courses prior to withdrawal/abolition are advised to continue with the course for the time being and till further orders.

This notice is issued with the approval of the Director General of Shipping and Ex-Officio Additional Secretary to the Govt. of India, in exercise of the powers conferred in Chapter IX Rule 47 of the Merchant Shipping [Standard of Training, Certification & Watch-keeping for Seafarers] Rules, 1998, as amended.
