Key Changes and Requirements
1. Additional Batch Approval
The Directorate General of Shipping has approved additional batches for institutes conducting the Ship Security Officer (SSO) Course to meet STCW 2010 standards.
- Batch Size: 20 or 24 candidates per batch
- Batch Frequency: One additional batch per week
- Validity: Until 1 February, 2014
2. Reporting and Payment Obligations
Institutes must report and make payments as follows:
- Reporting: Number of candidates trained for SSO and SSO Upgradation every Monday to dgstrg@gmail.com
- Payment: 1% annual fee on total fee collected from the additionally approved batch
