Key Changes and Requirements
1. Course Curriculum Revision
The course curriculum for the Two Years Marine Engineering Course has been revised to comply with the 2010 Manila Amendments to the STCW Convention.
- Course Duration: Total teaching hours increased to 3111 hours.
- Course Outline & Syllabus: Updated and attached as Annexure-I and Annexure-II respectively.
2. Transitional Provisions
Candidates starting Pre-Sea courses after 1st July 2012 will follow the revised curriculum. Those starting before will require an upgrade course unless the amendments are already included.
