1. Detention Reason

An Indian flag bulk carrier was recently detained due to the absence of a re-circulating device for oil filtering equipment, as required by IMO's MEPC.60(33).

2. Compliance Requirements

Ship owners/managers must ensure that the re-circulating device for oil filtering equipment is provided to meet the requirements of IMO's MEPC.60(33) and MEPC 107(49).
