Key Changes and Requirements
1. INDoS Checker Introduction
The Directorate of Shipping has introduced the Indian National Database of Seafarers (INDoS) checker to combat fraudulent activities and ensure seafarers are employed through registered RPS providers.
- Purpose: To verify seafarers' credentials and RPS providers' authorization.
- Access: Available on the DG Shipping website (www.dgshipping.com).
2. Verification and Discrepancies
In case of data mismatch, the verifying authority or aggrieved seafarer can contact the DG Shipping office for clarification.
