Key Changes and Requirements

1. New Course Guidelines

The IMO has amended the STCW 78 to include new education and training programs for Electro-Technology. The DG Shipping has formulated guidelines for a bridging course to convert existing Electrical Officers to Electro-Technical Officers.

2. Course Approval and Fee

To approve the course, a proposal along with a processing fee of Rs.25,000/- is required.

Processing Fee: Rs.25,000/-

Note: The guidelines come into force from the date of issue of this guideline.
