Key Changes and Requirements
1. GMDSS Certificate Holders & CDC Issuance
GMDSS GOC holders can now apply for CDC as per prevailing practice. However, the CDC issued will be restricted and valid for 2 years.
- Restrictions: Not eligible for working as ratings or cadets. Sea service won't count towards rating or cadet training.
- Validity: 2 years, renewable upon submission of employment status every 6 months.
2. Applicants on Hold
Applications on hold due to MS Notice 25 of 2010 will be processed as per this notice.
Important Note
GMDSS GOC holders must report their employment status every 6 months to the SM office with a copy to INDOS cell.
