Key Changes and Requirements
1. Examination Designation
The Director General of Shipping has designated the Assessment Centre of MMD, Kochi to conduct higher grade examinations of the Nautical Stream.
- Grades: Upto Master (Foreign Going)
2. Examination Conduct
Examinations will be conducted as per applicable rules and the Examination & Assessment (E&A) procedure manual.
- Notification: Principal Officer, MMD Kochi will inform all MMDs, DGS, and the public about the scheduled dates for examinations.
Public Notices:
Examination schedules will be displayed on the following platforms for 15 days from the date of issue:
- DGS website
- Nautical Exam File, E&A Cell, Nautical Wing, DGS

This order is issued with the approval and authority of the Director General of Shipping.
