Procedure for issuance of Registration / Renewal as MTO under Section 4 of the Multimodal Transportation of Goods Act,1993 -on-line application thereof.

Key Changes and Requirements

From 1.11.2010, applicants must submit their registration/renewal applications online with certified documents.

Certification: Applicants must certify that all information submitted is true and correct.
Approval: Approval will be communicated via email and mobile alert.

Demand Draft for prescribed fees, along with signed printout of online application.
Blank/void MTD issued to exporters (front & back).
List of authorized signatories for issuing MTD.
Details of staff/facilities/experience available.
Copy of certified balance sheet and certificate from C.A.
Copy of agreement with two agents abroad with confirmation from them (email/fax).
Undertaking in prescribed format to issue MTD (on applicant's letterhead).
Present insurance cover for liabilities of MTO with terms and conditions.
Copy of application filed with Registrar of Company for change of certified address of the Registered Office or the name of the company.
List of Directors and their contact details.
Authority letter from the applicant in case the work is done through any other authorized person.

Incomplete applications will not be processed, and no further communication will be made to the applicant.
