Key Changes and Requirements
1. MEO Class I Examination Transition
The MEO Class I Examination under the 1989 rules will terminate from October 2001. The last examination under these rules will be held in September 2001.
- Candidates appearing till September 2001: Will be given credit for the subjects passed to appear in the Class II examination under MEO 1998 Examination Rules.
- Eligible candidates not appearing in Class I: Will be eligible to appear in the Class II examination under MEO 1998 Examination Rules.
2. Conversion Procedure
The procedure for conversion to the 1998 system is outlined in Circular 11 of 1998 and 6 of 2000.
Note: This information should be given wide publicity to ensure a smooth changeover.
