Key Changes and Requirements
1. Ban Extension
The ban on new approvals and increase in intake capacity for GP Rating and Certificate Course in Maritime Catering (CCMC) has been extended for 2 years, until 11th May 2013.
2. Proposal Considerations
No new proposals for training institutes or increased intake capacity will be entertained until then. However, proposals from North-East states without approved institutes may be considered subject to DGS Order No.2 of 2007 and relevant guidelines.
Important Note
This ban is due to an oversupply of ratings in the market. Review the demand and supply position regularly to stay updated.
