Key Changes and Requirements

All foreign flag gas carriers built prior to 1976 must comply with the provisions of the Gas Carrier Code (GC Code).

Vessels must have a valid 'Certificate of Fitness' under the GC Code to ply on the Indian coast and operate from Indian ports.

Note: Non-compliance may result in vessels being prohibited from operating in Indian waters.
