Key Changes and Requirements
1. Piracy Trends and Caution
Piracy incidents are increasing towards the East Coast of Somalia and into surrounding high seas. Stakeholders are urged to exercise extreme caution and due diligence in planning and executing voyages, especially when proceeding to ports like Mombassa.
2. Naval Presence and Cover
Piracy cover and escort by naval vessels are limited to the Gulf of Aden region. There is no naval presence on the East coast of Somalia region.
