Key Changes and Requirements

The new CDC will be issued in a modified format with enhanced security features to prevent misuse and tampering.

New CDC issuance: Starts from 1st July, 2009 for all fresh applicants.
Replacement of old CDC: Seafarers holding old CDCs are advised to replace them with the new format. Procedure and time schedule will be prescribed separately.
Replacement fee: Rs.1000/- will be charged for the issue of new CDC as replacement.

II/4 Ministry of Shipping will notify the amended CDC format separately.
