Issue of COC (Soft Cover) as per STCW 95 the Certificate for purposes of revalidation

Key Changes and Requirements

From April 2000, hard cover certificates (STCW 78) are no longer issued. Instead, EXN-16 is issued for revalidation and upgrade purposes.

EXN-16: Issued for candidates who passed from April 2000 onwards for revalidation and upgrade.

For new examinations held August 2001 onwards, EXN-16 is not issued. Instead, EXN-3 Form 15 is forwarded weekly with enclosures.

Enclosures: Answer sheets, oral marks, upgradation certificate, STCW modular course certificates, Annex I of EXN-3 (Form 15).
