Key Changes and Requirements
1. New Guidelines for Towing Permission
The Directorate General of Shipping has issued new guidelines for granting voyage permission to towing vessels or ships, objects, etc.
- Forms: Includes procedures, application forms, checklists, and returns for towing permission.
- Effective Date: 15th September 2008
- Feedback: The Directorate welcomes feedback on the effectiveness of the guidelines.
2. Application Process
Applicants should follow the procedures outlined in the notice and submit the required forms.
- Form-A: Application for towing permission
- Form-B: Checklist for survey
- Form-C: List of recognized inspecting bodies
- Form-D: Quarterly returns by authorized bodies
