Key Changes and Requirements
1. OSV Code Implementation
Operators of offshore supply vessels (OSVs) must implement the operational guidelines of the OSV Code (IMO resolution A.863 (20)).
- OSV Code: The Code of Safe Practice for the Carriage of Cargoes and Persons by Offshore Supply Vessels.
2. Safety Management System (SMS)
When developing, implementing, or auditing a shipboard safety management system, consider the requirements of the OSV Code as per ISM Code clause no 1.4.
ISM Code clause no 1.4 defines functional requirements for a safety management system.
