Key Changes and Requirements
1. Centralized Issuance of CDCs
From 01st April, 2008, all applications for issuance of CDCs, including those from training institutes, should be forwarded to the office of Shipping Master, Mumbai.

2. Transition Period
The offices of Shipping Master, Kolkata and Chennai should dispose of all pending CDC issuance cases by 31st March, 2008. Applications received after this date should be forwarded to Shipping Master, Mumbai.
Important Note
No applications for CDCs will be received by the offices of Shipping Master, Kolkata and Chennai after 31st March, 2008.
