Key Changes and Requirements
1. New Responsibilities for Training Institutes
Training Institutes are now responsible for:
- Publicizing eligibility criteria
- Verifying certificates in original before finalizing admission
- Ensuring only eligible candidates are admitted
2. Amended Proforma 'A'
Proforma 'A' is amended to require the authorized representative/head of the workshop/institute to certify that:
- Candidates meet all eligibility conditions
- Original certificates of candidates have been checked
- They are aware of consequences of false information or false certificates
3. Submission of Proforma 'B'
Proforma 'B' is now submitted to the Shipping Master for record, which may be electronic on E-Samudra.
Important Note
Non-compliance may result in severe penal measures, including suspension/withdrawal of approval for the course.
