Key Changes and Requirements
1. Exemption of 6 Months Sea Service
Candidates with 2 years of sea service prior to obtaining their sea-going certificates can exempt 6 months of sea service with a TAR book.
- Eligibility: Assistant to the Watchkeeping Engineer, Oiler, Fitter, etc.
- Service: After obtaining SGED, FVE, 2nd Class Engineer, and FVED certificates on registered sea-going vessels.
- Validity: Till 1st January 2002
II/4 Candidates must produce duly completed and endorsed TAR Books prior to their Examination from 1st January 2002.
