Exemption from TOTA course

Applicable to: Maritime Training Institutes and their faculty members

Key Changes and Requirements

Certain ex-officers from the Directorate and Mercantile Marine Departments are exempted from the mandatory TOTA course requirement.

Ex-officers: Must have served a minimum of 5 years as Engineer & Ship Surveyors or Nautical Surveyors.
Institutes: Can still send exempted faculty for voluntary TOTA course if deemed necessary.
