Key Changes and Requirements
1. Examination Changes
Candidates can now appear for written papers of Function 5 and 6 examinations on Marine Electro Technology and Ship Construction and Stability before joining the vessel for OICEW training.
- Duration: 3 hours each
- Timing: As per Class IV Part B examination schedule
- Choice: Candidates can choose to appear before or after OICEW training
2. Oral Examinations
Oral examinations will be conducted as usual subsequent to OICEW training.
Important Note
Examiners of Engineers are requested to ensure compliance with this circular effective from 1st August 2005.
