Key Changes and Requirements
1. Ship and Port Visits
Training institutes must arrange for trainees to visit suitable ports and ships during their pre-sea training.
- Details to be submitted: Name of the ship, port, date of visit, time spent on ship, and places visited on the ship.
- Submission: Institutes must send the details to the Board of Examiners for Seafarers (BES) along with the application forms of Ratings.

Important Note
The Board of Examination of Seafarers will not accept application forms without the details of ships visited by the Ratings during their training. They will also ask questions about the ships visited during the viva voce.
