Key Changes and Requirements
1. Educational Qualification Extension
The minimum educational qualification for obtaining CDCs and admission to Pre-Sea Training Courses for G.P. Rating and Saloon Ratings has been extended to candidates who are natives of Minicoy Island and belong to Scheduled Tribe in relation to Union Territory of Lakshadweep.
- Qualification: VIIIth Standard Passed
- Certificate Required: Scheduled Tribe membership certificate from Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs
Note: This order is valid for 1 year to enable the Administration of the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, Kavaratti to sponsor the left out 25 candidates for Saloon Rating Course.
