Key Changes and Requirements
1. English Communication and Soft Skills Online Program (ECSSOP) — for faculty & instructors
The MTT has developed an online program to enhance English proficiency and soft skills of permanent faculty and instructors in approved MTIs.
- Program: English Communication and Soft Skills Online Program (ECSSOP)
- Developer: Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI), Pune
- Assessment: Proficiency test based on CEFR format, followed by course registration based on test score
- Certification: Upon completion of the course
2. Registration Process — for MTIs and faculty
The registration process involves nomination of faculty by MTIs, proficiency test, and course registration based on test scores.
- Step 1: DG sends circular to MTIs for nominating faculty
- Step 2: TMI sends mail to MTIs for nominations
- Step 3: TMI compiles nomination list and generates user credentials
- Step 4: Candidates take proficiency test
- Step 5: TMI conducts familiarization session via zoom
