Key Changes and Requirements
1. Mandatory Online Training — Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways
All seafarers are required to complete online training on the new regulations by 31st May, 2024.
- Training Portal: DG Shipping
- Deadline: 31st May, 2024
2. Updated Certificate of Competency — Directorate General of Shipping
Seafarers must obtain the updated Certificate of Competency (CoC) by 30th June, 2024.
- Application Portal: CMMI
- Deadline: 30th June, 2024
II/4 Mandatory to carry the updated CoC onboard
Important Note
Failure to comply may result in suspension of CoC and penalties as per the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958.
