Key Changes and Requirements
1. Mandatory Online Training Module — Chapter 3, Rule 3
All seafarers must complete the new online training module on the CMMI portal.
- Deadline: 30th June 2024
- Certification: Certificate of Completion must be uploaded on the DG Shipping portal
2. Updated Safety Management System (SMS) Guidelines — Chapter 4, Rule 4
Companies must update their Safety Management System (SMS) guidelines according to the new rules.
- Effective Date: 1st July 2024
- Compliance: Companies must submit their updated SMS guidelines to the DG Shipping portal
