1. Amendments to 2011 ESP Code
The International Code on the Enhanced Programme of Inspections during surveys of Bulk Carriers and Oil Tankers, 2011 (2011 ESP Code) has been amended. The amendments are effective from the dates mentioned in the annexure.
- Amendments: 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021, 2023, and 2024
- Effective Dates: Vary for each amendment (see annexure)
2. Compliance Obligations
All stakeholders are advised to comply with the provisions of the ESP Code, as amended, to give full effect to the Safety of Life at Sea Convention (SOLAS).
- Action: Review and implement the amendments in your operations
- Deadline: Ongoing, as per the effective dates of each amendment
