This circular clarifies the process for completing the GMDSS course to appear for oral examinations.

Applicability: All ratings and officers under the Nautical Miscellaneous department.
Course Completion: Candidates must complete the GMDSS course through the approved training providers.
Examination: After course completion, candidates can appear for the oral examination.
