Key Changes and Requirements

In cases of maritime casualty, this Directorate issues notices to take immediate steps to prevent and minimize pollution.

Actions: Control and prevent pollution, including removal of oil from the vessel.

Responsibility for effectiveness and efficacy of actions rests with the concerned agency or authority.

Concemed Authority/ Agency: Ensure all oil has been duly removed from the vessel.
