Key Changes and Requirements
1. Online BSID Verification Facility
MTIs can now verify issuance of BSID online for seafarers against their INDOS number using the SID checker.
- Action: Admit candidates only after confirming BSID issuance from the SID checker.
- Compliance: Mandatory to follow instructions in para 5 of DGS Crew Circular No. 23 of 2022.
II/4 Admission without BSID verification will be considered a major non-compliance.
Important Note
Violations may result in necessary action against MTIs as per DGS Order 05 and 07 of 2016.
