Key Changes and Requirements
1. Inspection Readiness
MTIs are to inform their respective Major Ports (MMDs) about their readiness for inspection to approve the revalidation training course for Masters and Deck Officers.
- Action: MTIs to inform MMDs about their inspection readiness.
- MMDs: To depute surveyors for inspection and submit final reports in the prescribed format to the Directorate.
Note: This scheme is valid only until 31.07.2023. After this date, MTIs must follow the regular procedure for course approval.
Important Note
MTIs are responsible for ensuring 100% compliance with the issued guidelines. Failure to do so may result in serious action as proposed under DGS Order 5 of 2016.
