Key Changes and Requirements
1. Sign-off Advisory
Indian seafarers are strongly advised to avoid signing off from their vessels, except in extreme emergencies or medical exigencies, for a period of one month or until the situation improves.
2. Repatriation Requests
Seafarers whose tenure on board is going to exceed 11 months must intimate the Directorate using the online repatriation request portal for further advice.
