Key Changes and Requirements
1. Extension of Validity Period
The period of validity of passed functions for Nautical Discipline STCW Competency Examination has been extended. The period during which examinations were not conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic will not be counted towards the 5-year validity period.
- Validity Period: 5 years from the date of passing the examination
- Extension Applies To: Periods when examinations were not conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Important Note
This extension does not apply to the period of validity for the CoC itself, only to the validity of passed functions.
