Key Clarifications and Requirements
1. Sign-on/Sign-off Clarification
Indian seafarers can sign on/off at Indian ports without restriction.
- Note: Exercise caution while signing off at foreign ports due to travel restrictions.
2. Ministry of Home Affairs Clarification
Crew members are exempted from passenger traffic prohibition at sea ports.
- Subject to: Thorough medical screening for COVID-19.

Companies should be aware of these clarifications to avoid denying requests for sign-off of Indian seafarers at Indian ports.
