Key Changes and Requirements
1. One Time Relaxation Period
The Directorate General of Shipping has granted a one-time relaxation in the five-year period for completing the Extra First Class Engineer examination. The new deadline is seven years from the date of enrollment for candidates who joined the course between 2014 and 2019.
- New Deadline: 7 years from the date of enrollment for candidates who joined the course from 2014 to 2019
- Future Candidates: No relaxation will be granted for candidates enrolling in the course from 2020 onwards
II/4 Candidates who have not completed the course within the new deadline will have to enroll and complete the course again
