The National Maritime Day (NMD) awards recognize and honor individuals and organizations for their contributions to the Indian maritime sector.
- Awards: Varuna Award, NMD Award of Excellence, Outstanding Contribution to Maritime Education and Training, Gallantry Award, Best Foreign Employer, Most Compassionate Employer, Indian Shipping Company with Highest Growth, Eminent Overseas Maritime Personality Award
- Eligibility: Indian Shipping Companies, Indian Seafarers, and Foreign Employers
- Nomination Deadline: 28th February 2019
- Award Ceremony: 5th April 2019
2. IMO Bravery Award Nomination
Nominations are also requested for the IMO Bravery Award as per IMO Circular number 3894 dated 31st October 2018.
