1. National Maritime Day Awards 2019
The National Maritime Day (NMD) awards recognize and honor individuals, companies, and seafarers for their contributions to the Indian maritime sector.
- Awards: Varuna Award, NMD Award of Excellence, Outstanding Contribution to Maritime Education and Training, Gallantry Award, Best Foreign Employer, Most Compassionate Employer, Eminent Overseas Maritime Personality Award
- Eligibility: Eminent persons, Indian shipping companies, foreign employers, and Indian seafarers
- Deadline: Nominations must be sent latest by 28th February, 2019
- Evaluation: Nominations will be examined and evaluated by a committee appointed for the purpose
2. IMO Bravery Award
Nominations are also requested for the IMO Bravery Award as per IMO Circular number 3894 dated 31st October 2018.
