Key Changes and Requirements
1. Withdrawal of RPS License — Rule 12 of MS (R&PS) Rules, 2016
The RPS License (No. RPSL-MUM-162312) of M/s Amethyst Marine Services Pvt Ltd has been withdrawn with immediate effect due to violations of MS (R&PS) Rules, 2016.
- Effective Date: 23.12.2025
- Consequences: The company remains liable for recruited seafarers and those currently serving onboard. Directors are debarred from maritime activities for 5 years and may be blacklisted by MCA.
2. Appeal Process — Rule 19(1) of MS (R&PS) Rules, 2016
The company may appeal the order within 30 days of receipt to the Principal Officer, Mercantile Marine Department, Mumbai.
The Bank Guarantee of INR 15,00,000/- (INR Fifteen Lacs Only) will be invoked and deposited into the Government Account.
This withdrawal may impact seafarers currently engaged with the company. Affected seafarers should contact the Directorate General of Shipping or relevant authorities for assistance.
