Key Changes and Requirements
1. Upgrading Certificates
Engineering officers holding certificates under STCW-1978/STCW-1995 are to upgrade their certificates to STCW-I-2010.
- Action: Apply for upgrade before 25th April, 2020.
- Application Portal: CMMI Portal
2. Training Requirements
Officers are required to undergo training to meet the new STCW-I-2010 standards.
- Training Provider: Approved training providers
- Training Portal: DG Shipping
II/4 Officers holding II/4 certificates are required to upgrade to II/4 (M) or II/4 (E) as per STCW-I-2010.
Important Note
Failure to upgrade certificates or complete required training by the deadline may result in suspension of service.
