Key Changes and Requirements
1. Indian Seafarer Statistics — Annexures I to XII
The circular provides statistics of Indian seafarers employed from 2010 to 2017 in various ranks.
- Total Count: Includes seafarers employed multiple times.
- Distinct Count: Total number of seafarers.
2. Employment by Rank and Nationality — Annexures XIII to XVII
The circular presents employment data by rank and nationality (Indian or Foreign Flag) for the years 2016 and 2017.
- Indian Flag: Ships registered in India.
- Foreign Flag: Ships registered outside India.
II/4 Annexures XVIII to XXII provide employment data for specific ranks and nationalities.
Important Note
This circular supersedes all previous circulars on the subject and will be effective from the date of issue.
