Key Changes and Requirements
1. Certificate Issuance Update
MTIs are advised to update the compliance reference on certificates issued to seafarers.
- Old Reference: "STCW Convention and Code as amended in 2010"
- New Reference: "STCW Convention 1978 as amended"
II/4 Certificates issued with the old reference will be accepted until their validity date.
