Amendments to guidelines for grant of Licence for Contract of Affreightment (COA) issued vide SD Circular No.01 of 2004 dated January 14, 2004

Key Changes and Requirements

The guidelines for the grant of License for Contract of Affreightment (COA) have been amended.

Sub Para (iii) of Paragraph 4 deleted: The previous rule stating the difference in bid price between Indian and foreign flag vessels has been removed.

Note: These amendments aim to promote Indian shipping in a competitive framework.

All stakeholders should comply with the new guidelines as per this circular.
