Key Changes and Requirements
1. Record Book Requirements
As per revised MARPOL Annex-VI, ships subject to regulation 6.1 must maintain a list of equipment containing ozone depleting substances (ODS). Ships with rechargeable systems containing ODS must maintain an ODS Record Book.
- Record Book: May form part of an existing log-book or electronic recording system approved by the Administration.
2. Approved Standard Formats
The Directorate has approved standard formats for the ODS Record Book. Ship owners and companies are requested to download and place the formats onboard ships immediately.
