Key Changes and Requirements
1. BSID Version 2.0 Roll-out
The new BSID module addresses issues and caters to evolving maritime requirements, including:
- Upgraded BSID Issuing Software - Improved mechanism for BSID issuance
- Incorporation of Facial Biometrics - Enhanced security features
- Online Application Submission - Facility for replacement/renewal BSIDs
2. Application Process
Seafarers can apply for BSID 2.0 through the online portal. The process involves:
- Login - Using INDOS Number and Password, followed by OTP verification
- Apply for SID - Complete the application form, review, and submit
- Payment - Select appropriate payment type and complete the payment process
- Schedule Appointment - Choose collection center and available time slot

Important Note
Existing BSIDs remain valid until their respective expiry dates. No action is required from seafarers holding valid BSID cards.
