Key Changes and Requirements
1. Approval of "Emergency Food Ration"
Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) has been granted approval to inspect and approve "Emergency Food Ration" under certain conditions.
- Conditions: Procedure for inspection and approval, ISO standards, NABL approval, IACS standards, FSSAI approval, packaging material requirements.
2. Reporting Requirements
IRS must forward inspection reports along with approved certificates to DG Shipping for record-keeping and updating the e-govemance system.
